Louis Vuitton: a handwritten correspondence

Couple of days ago during my Paris visit, I was both delighted and excited to find out that Louis Vuitton house is paying homage to handwritten correspondence, a now neglected tradition in an internet society, closely linked to the house’s thematic concept of travel, with a shop devoted to exceptional materials.

Being a writer, researcher, and traveller who respects a good design in a working surrounding and fashion synthesis with technology and art, I liked the current concept at Saint-Germain-des-Prés store with typewriter, piles of paper installations, and LV products.

I took a few snapshots outside the closed store. It was a cold winter evening, and a friend of mine and I took a stroll through St.Germain. Yours truly was captured by a friend, a designer for another fashion house. LV address is 6 place Saint-Germain-des-Prés VIe.

Moleskine Passionate Book Series is something I heard on Monocle24 radio the other day when the guests, designers from the Moleskine factory introduced these notebooks. I have no idea how I missed these series, I guess I was mesmerised by scribbling in my Le Petit Prince Moleskine edition.

I went to the online store and found real candies. On my wish list: Moleskine Passions Travel Journal, Moleskine Passions Chocolate Journal, and Moleskine Passions Book Journal.

Note: for architects there is this lovely art limited edition series, one of my favourite Zaha Hadid Inspiration and Process Monograph.

One of my favourite Italian, industrial design brands of accessories and bags is definitely Mandarina Duck, people from Rome know that very well; I have MD discount card, and I have to say I really love Mandarina Duck design. But then today, a friend on Twitter replied on my tweet on Moleskine (Little Prince and Star Wars notion) on new messenger bag, and I almost fell in love, updated my wish list and I’ve found on the site and video the bags similar to  minimalistic design that MD designers from Bologna develop for years. There are even laptop cases and I like esp. the tote bag and a small/minimalistic rucksack to support both shoulders. Perfect for travels.

Well, I’m starting soon with a new blog, on photography, design, interior design, travel, cooking/food,  and lifestyle - but on blogger.com. Everyone will be informed on time, I’ve found blogger.com platform more convenient for the content I plan to publish. Until then, enjoy this beautiful inventions.

Lovely notebooks and pens for writers and thinkers

I simply love the minimalism, clean lines and the simplicity of any notebooks for writing and thoughts/notes taking, including Moleskine notebooks and pens.

Moleskine roll pen is updated pronto on my Amazon Xmas and Birthday Wishlist.
